Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Teller is a stunningly unique looking dachshund. He has a very long body and slightly longer than average legs. He is very gentle and sweet and wants to be with you at all times. He doesn't know how to climb on the furniture, but he does always want to be either in your lap or by your feet. He's doing awesome on taking care of his business outside, although he started doing a little bit of marking when his male foster brother came home from vacation. I'm hopeful that goes away once they have more time sharing the same territory. He's staying in his kennel during the day and sleeping in his kennel at night. He's got a healthy appetite but no food aggression. He is pretty interested in human food though. He will require grooming due to his long lustrous coat. He barks at the TV but not so much at other noises. When we ask him to quiet down, he mostly listens. He hasn't yet shown a ton of interest in toys, but I think he will once he gets more comfortable. He has played with his foster sibling and seem to have a good amount of energy. Given his younger age, I expect him to enjoy long walks and play time with humans and dogs alike. Teller is a very special, affectionate people person kind of dog. He has shown somewhat of a preference to women and has yet to be around young kids, but I'll be sure he gets those experiences soon. I am confident, once he is shown consistent love and attention, this dog will be a great addition to any home. Stay tuned for more updates as this new addition to the DROH family progresses in foster care.
