Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

My name is Anakin Skywalker…although I’d respond to anyone willing to give me a home. I love being around people…unless there is a squirrel around. Or a rabbit, opossum, cat, bird or other wildlife that needs chasing. My foster Dad calls me a “hunter”, not sure why, could be because I spend most of my time sniffing up scents or looking at trees for prey. 

I love going for long walks and enjoy marking the neighborhood as I walk. I know not to go inside and try to time my needs with walk times. I’m pretty good on the leash but do tend to pull if Dad isn’t walking fast enough or if there is something I need to check out in a bit more detail.

I have no problem with my crate but am sure happy when Dad gets home to let me out after his workday. I do get a bit antsy in the mornings but do sleep at least 8 hours! Why spend all that time in bed when the squirrels are already out and about?

My favorite time is after dinner and walks are done and I can lay by my Dad’s side and be petted…I love attention! I do enjoy playing with my foster brother. I even let him think he’s the boss of me by rolling on my back and letting him get on top of me. If he gets too aggressive I flip him back and show who is really running this show!
