Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Peter Rabbit is a very active little guy that loves to play but also loves to snuggle. He's great with other dogs that can tolerate his high energy level and would be OK around cats so long as the cats do not mind him wanting to play with them. We have a cat with an attitude that turns her nose up at the dogs. When Peter first came to our house he would chase her but only because he wanted to play with her. Over time he has learned to she is not going to play with him and although he will still try to play with her from time to time, if we tell him "no" he will listen and leave her alone. Peter has not had any accidents in the house but does get a little excited and dribbles some. When he needs to go potty he will stand at the back door and will start to scratch it if we don't notice him standing there so he is very good at letting us know when he needs to go out. At night and whenever we have to leave the house, Peter is a very good boy and will quietly lie down in his crate with a treat, blankets to burrow in and one of his toys and will patiently wait until it's time to come back out. This sweet boy loves to play with dog toys, other dogs, people, feet, and when he's not playing he loves to burrow under the blankets on the couch and the bed. Peter is a quick learner and obeys majority of the time. He has so much love to give and wants nothing more than to make his humans happy and just be loved.
