Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Emeril is a gentle soul, and super adorable. You will not find a sweeter dog. Emeril is cautious, but friendly. He likes to meet new people, but is very submissive. He plays well with our dogs. He is not aggressive or possessive. He's not really into toys. He loves naps. Emeril likes to sleep next to your feet, or next to you on the floor, but doesn't want to be in your lap. He LOVES ear rubs. He will nudge you, if you're not rubbing his ears enough. He has not barked once in the weeks that we've had him. He walks easily on a leash, staying right behind you, keeping the leash loose. He likes to ride in the truck, and have adventures. He has done well in public spaces, making friends everywhere we go. He also constantly gets compliments, so be prepared to make new friends yourself. He is house broken. He learned very quickly how to go out the dog door. It took him a little longer to understand that he could go IN the dog door as well. He's a smart dog, and is picking up on things quickly. He is becoming more playful as he is getting settled in. He is not crate trained yet, but we are working on it, and he is getting better. Emeril looks like Sprocket from Fraggle Rock. We tell him that he's famous.This dog bonds quickly and will love you forever. He will be a great addition to any family. He is the easiest foster that we have had. Did I mention that he loves ear rubs? It’s hard to type and rub his ears, but I’m doing my best.
