Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted. We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Tyler is an absolute sweetheart. He is all puppy - ready to play at a moment's notice. He gets so excited to give kisses and get love from his favorite humans. At first when he meets someone new, he is a little shy. (Especially if they are big and tall since he is so small.) But after a short while he warms up, and gets in their lap for kisses and love.
Right now, since he is a puppy, we are working on training. He doesn't like to get in his crate, but if you bribe him with a cookie, he will go in. Once in his crate, he is quiet and patiently waits for you to come home. He almost has potty training down, too - if you keep him on a routine and praise him when he potty's outside, he does very well. He also comes when he is called, and he knows "No sir!" when he gets into something he shouldn't. He is not very good at "sit" yet because he gets so excited for the treat that he wiggles out of sitting and leaps up for the cookie.
Tyler LOVES toys. He likes to pick a toy and run around the house in circles with the toy in his mouth. Then he puts it down, finds a different toy, and then runs around with it until he finds the perfect place to put it. He hasn't quite learned how to squeak the squeaker inside the toy, but he loves them just the same. And when you need to take the toy up (or if he grabbed something that isn't a toy), you just say "Give me that, please" and he will drop it and step away. He is such a good boy!
Eventually when he gets the wiggles out, he decides that it is lap time - time to snuggle and cuddle with his humans, give and receive kisses, and snooze to the TV.
If you are looking for the perfect young pup who will grow with your family, Tyler is the Dachs for you!
