Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Chuck, lovingly nicknamed "Boomerang", loves to be loved and reciprocates with kisses. Whether it’s wrestling with his foster brother, cuddling with a five year-old, or chasing the ball when his foster brother plays fetch, he is a fun & energetic pup!

Chuck is one smart pup too!   He is learning to play fetch (he runs with the ball), sits for treats, and comes when called. He is crate trained and only whines/barks if he needs to potty or I’ve left his harness on him.  Chuck enjoys road trips and travels beautifully in his travel kennel.

He does best on a potty schedule and he will bring sticks & pine cones in as gifts after his walks.  He also lets the neighbors know that it is his street & they should make way for him and his foster brothers!  He has bionic ears and can hear packages dropped off and visitors arriving- and he will alert you that people have arrived.

If you’ve been searching for a smart, loving, and playful pup, Chuck is your boy!
