Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Little Annie Weiman is an all-around fun dog. She's sweet, smart, and eager to engage. At first, Annie was very timid and shy around her new foster family. But, after she felt secure, she blossomed into a spunky, adorable girl. She is very smart, observing everything going on in the home and is quickly learning the routine. She gets along great with her dachshund foster brother and likes to play chase with him. She is friendly to all the human visitors who come to the home. Little Annie loves to go on walks. She gets very excited when she sees the leash come out; she is very eager to put on her harness and see the neighborhood sights! She is so happy to greet her foster family each morning or when they return home, bouncing around with pure joy and excitement. She loves affection. She is learning about soft toys and house manners. She is potty trained and crate trained. Annie is equal parts energetic and calm. She has a lot of enthusiasm for anything she encounters, but is also happy to relax when her people are busy. She would be a great addition to a family who can provide a calm environment while she adjusts in the beginning, and a quiet place she can decompress on her own when needed. She would do great with older kids and/ or a doggie playmate, but would also adjust being the only dog in the pack. She is going to be an amazing best friend to the lucky family who.adopts her.
