Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

I made it through my heartworm treatment like a champ! I didn’t complain once during the whole treatment! Since I am now a 100% healthy boy I have all of my energy back. I love to run around the backyard with my foster brothers and patrol the fence! But I still love to be inside when my people are inside! My foster mom says I sound like a train pulling into the station when I’m outside and want to come in. My obedience skills have vastly improved since I came to live with my foster mom. I now sit and stay at dinner time and wait until I get the okay to eat. I also like to show off my meerkat imitation when it’s treat time! I used to be a bit nippy when taking treats but I’ve learned that gently means to slow my roll and calmly take my treat! Don’t forget I am crate trained and sleep in it like a champ! I do cry some at first when my foster mom leaves for work but I calm down after a minute or so once I know she’s left for the day. I can’t wait to meet my forever family and get all of the snuggles my little heart can handle!
