Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Boozy is a sweet sweet soul with so much love in his heart. He’s had a rough life but it does not show one single bit. He’s very excited to see you yet he won’t jump on furniture without permission. He wants to be as close to you as possible and snuggle with you in a blanket but will go right into his crate if told. He loves his food but is not aggressive or defensive even with other dogs around. He is nearly hairless because of Alopecia, it seems to be mostly where he would be black, so he is a Black and Tan, just no black and instead his skin is a greyish color so he does well to get moisturized after bathing and occasionally if the weather is dry. He LOVES to sunbathe and hang outside but should not be allowed to do so for too long unless covered in animal friendly sunscreen or a shirt because he will get burnt. He chills easily also and this is the only time he isn’t fully potty trained....when it’s rainy/cold out, he can’t take the cold weather and will try to hold it but can’t. Other than this he is completely PT! Boozy is great on a leash, you should use his harness! HE LOVES TO RIDE IN THE CAR! he is relaxed and loves to just sniff the air and chill in the seat where he can see you. His bark is super low, he sounds like he’s a big dog! He does not bark a lot, but when he does it’s so cute. His playing is more like nooking, he finds one spot on a stuffy and jaws on it for awhile OR he takes it and runs around the house as if being chased even tho he isn’t! He’s fun and entertaining! Boozy seemed to get attached to his foster dad the most, he’s a mans man, but he loves everyone! He learns how to play/not play with each dog he meets, he is gentle and sweet with all people. Total character with a big heart!
