Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted. We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

My name is Kenny Smith and I am one handsome guy, or so my fosters tell me. I am a looooong weenie dog who is low slung. I am a really nice guy who just wants to hang out with my pack. I am good not being a leader…just don’t leave me behind! Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy my crate to rest and take a nap, I just don’t appreciate being in it when my foster brother is laying in a big bed! Sometimes I hoard all the stuffed toys and put them inside so that there is hardly room for me! Fun times! I have an excellent appetite, in fact its is so good I have to be slowed down a bit so I don’t choke on my food. No worries, with my long nose and tongue I get those pebbles out of the crevices with ease. I enjoy treats although I miss the training tips that my foster Dad is trying to teach me…I just want to eat or give him love! I don’t have time to learn commands! My leash behavior is not very good I’m sad to say. I enjoy being with everyone but I would rather just stay at home where everything is safe and familiar. I don’t like noisy vehicles or dogs. My foster pulls me along until I know we’re headed for home and then I’m ready to lead us back! This brings me to my one limitation, my eyesight. They think I’m blind in one eye or just see shadows. That may explain my reticence to walk outside the yard. It doesn’t affect me in any other way, though. I’ve been very good about doing my pottying outside. In fact my foster Dad swears I’m putting out a fire since I take really long pees! I do need a bit of patience as I get in the mood to do my business. My fosters think I haven’t had a lot of attention so that’s why I crave it now. I even barked at people and animals on the television…I hadn’t been exposed to that! I’m relaxing about it now and I think being a permanent part of my own pack would be the best thing ever!
