Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted. We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Anna is the sweetest little lady! She's made an incredible amount of progress in a short period of time. When she first arrived, she was scared, skittish, and had no desire to eat anything, not even CHEESE or PEANUT BUTTER! Her fur and skin was in terrible condition, spotty and flakey, and slept all day to pass the day away. Now Miss Anna is full of energy, vibrant and wrestles with both her foster sister and brother Lily(4) & Fritz(5). She's incredibly loveable, and has a genuine desire to please. She now eats from a bowl which she wasn't accustomed to before, is learning to walk on a leash, and cuddles with everyone to include her foster human siblings (ages 10 and 16). She enjoys kids, and is constantly wagging her tail and giving kisses when she's around them. She doesn't mind car rides, but will not sit still, so probably best to crate her while riding or using a seat belt. Her fur is starting to grow in and her patches are finally starting to fill out. She doesn't mind bath time either as long as you cuddle with her while you dry her off. Anna will cuddle with Lily & Fritz when she's resting and will sleep in a crate with them through the night. She may need a buddy to keep her company so that she doesn't feel insecure. According to my kiddos, she can be vocal when I'm gone, so someone that can reassure her or a buddy dog might be a good fit.
