Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Sadie Garnet is a sweet senior girl who was surrendered to DROH though no fault of her own. She wasn’t in the best shape, but through the loving care of DROH and their excellent vets she is regaining her true personality. She is most in need of a home where there is an available lap and two (or three) square meals a day. Sadie likes lots of naps and enjoys being petted and fussed over. She is beginning to sleep well through the night and has an excellent appetite (did I mention three meals a day?). She is pretty well house trained but appreciates an available pee pad for her senior bladder. Sadie is not afraid to let you know if it’s time to get up, dinner is late or it’s lap time. Becoming very verbal now that she’s 100%. Such a dramatic change from the tired girl I picked up at the vet! Sadie is frequently underfoot so you need to be aware of her presence. She’s even started giving kisses to admirers! I’m so proud of DROH and the special chance they have given this sweet girl to find forever happiness in her senior years.

Now sassy Sadie wants a few words… “My foster Dad treats me like glass, but I am pretty feisty for a 13 year old. He also calls me “badass pirate girl” because I have one eye and a tattoo. LOL. He gets onto me when I want to get up early, but I don’t see why he needs to sleep when there is food to be eaten! I like my foster brother as long as we don’t touch when sharing the couch or Dad’s lap…he does give me first dibs, which I don’t complain about. AND I have mastered the sofa steps, so I can further access my throne.  The best thing about being here is when guests come over…more laps to use! I like everyone! I am not fond of being alone so I’m hoping you have time to hold me and give me the attention I didn’t get in my previous home. Sassy Sadie…I like the sound of that!”
