Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

If you are looking for a cuddly couch potatoe, Sophie is your girl! ​ She won't squirm, talk during the shows or ask to get down to be let out frequently. ​ She is totally content being cuddled up on the couch for hours binge watching Netflix and only going potty after long blocks of time being sleepy and warm cuddled up on the couch. She doesn't really know what toys are or how to play yet. ​ She does like to be outside, and is content relaxing on the patio furniture when the weather is reasonable. ​Sophie sleeps peacefully cuddled up in a crate at night with a couple of blankets. ​ She is cautious, timid and shy when it comes to people, kids and sometimes other pets, but is very sweet once she feels comfortable. ​Leash training was rapidly accepted when Sofi realized it meant she would be praised and petted for the privilege to walk on your heel.​ Sofi is a smart dog and has been very eager to learn. She quickly picked up on commands and routines once she figure out that good behavior made us really pleased with her.​ She is very sweet and friendly and just looking for a furever home that will provide love and attention.
