Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Pooh's former owner  couldn't care for him any longer, so DRoH stepped in to help this 10 year old boy find a new home. He was shaken up to say the least and it has taken a few days for him to decompress and get used to his new environment. He is a very sweet boy. He has been sleeping in bed with us and sleeps the whole night without getting up. He is house trained although he did have one accident. He likes to go for walks on the leash and we take him out a lot so he can get used to his new place. When we leave, we put him in a crate. He doesn't seem to like it but he doesn't bark or make a big fuss. We only are gone a few hours max and he is always happy to see us when we return! He hasn't played with any toys but I think he would like them once he starts to feel more comfortable. We have a Goldendoodle who he just ignores. I think he would be OK with another dog but also think he would be happy alone. He loves his meal time and finishes his food in no time flat! If you are looking for a sweet, gentle, laid back dog, he is the one!
