Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Meet Snoopy! He’s a beautiful piebald dachshund, who will be a miniature once he loses some weight! Snoopy is a happy pup who loves going on walks and playing with stuffed toys. He’s been good with all sizes of dogs that he’s met, though can get a little snappy if his new friend has too much energy.

Snoopy’s absolute favorite person in the house is his foster mom, and he follows her around wherever she goes. He doesn’t mind his foster dad or male neighborhood friends, but tends to warm up quicker to women. Snoopy hasn’t been around kids in his foster home, but should do well with considerate kids.

He’s happy to hop in his kennel at nighttime or when his foster parents need to leave the house, and he’s a great alarm clock for when it’s time to wake up! He’s been completely potty trained with his foster parents, though occasionally will pee a little from excitement (easily handled by taking him into the yard before greeting).
