Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Runny ended up in rescue through no fault of his own. His owner fell very ill and had to give up his pets. Although he is missing his original owner, Runny is settling into his foster home comfortably. He gets along well with all the other dogs in the house and he really likes his foster mom & dad. He has the most silky blonde coat and his foster mom loves petting him and brushing him. The toddler in the house makes him nervous so he keeps his distance or warns her to back away by barking.
His name is a little misleading because I haven't seen him run yet. Runny prefers to saunter around the yard and through the house. He wants to be in whatever room you are in and he follows his foster mom around all day. If there is a dog bed in the room, he will find it and make himself comfortable. He has a good appetite and happily does his business outside in the grass. His foster family is measuring out his food portions to help him lose some weight. He is not a big fan of the crate but he will sleep in a dog bed next to foster mom's side of the bed all night long without a peep. Runny is really mellow dog who just wants to be where you are. He will chime in when the rest of the dogs start barking but I'm not sure if he hears very well otherwise. It could just be that he's a typical dachshund and has selective hearing.
He is anxious to meet you and cuddle with you.
