Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

About Annie Granbury

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
Annie is so sweet. She gets along with the pack, doesn't mind cats, enjoys playing fetch with her tennis ball, eats well, loves to be loved on, always has a hearty wag when she sees you, comes to her name, & is potty trained, IF you consistently let her outside regularly. This is a beautiful girl who more than deserves a very good, loving home. Update -Annie is doing well. She loves, loves, loves to hang on to a pull toy while you tug on it too. She has a small growl and just shakes the object (tennis ball, doggie toy) like crazy. She also loves to give kisses. She knows her name and readily comes when called. She is much better now at going into her crate because she knows she won't be in there very long. Besides, she always gets a teenie treat just for going in nicely on her own. In the beginning, I had to pick her up and put her in because she hated being confined. She gets along with everyone and always has a "happy face" and a "waggy tail". She will sit in your lap for a while but really loves to explore. She is also somewhat of a "want to be" escape artist as she will try to scoot under the backyard gate. It's a good thing she can't get under it and as we have the gate padlocked, there is no way to accidently leave the gate open. One of us is always outside with the smaller dogs because we want to keep them safe. She just loves to be outside or loose in the house. She pretty much ignores the cats and just accepts the other dogs as part of the family pack.
