Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted. We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.
Hi my name is Honeysuckle Weeks. I am just as sweet as my name. Not really sure how it happened, but I ended up homeless. I wandered around for a while, then someone found me and was shocked at my appearance (thank goodness i hadn't had access to a mirror!). I was turned into a local shelter and my options were grim. Given my appearance and the fact that I was HW positive, there was no chance someone would adopt me. I admit, I was very frightened at the shelter and began to prepare myself that this would be the end for me. But, luckily, it was NOT. DRoH came and got me. A really nice lady picked me up from the shelter and took me to DRoH's wonderful vet. The staff there was so sweet to me, I started to feel better. Then a really nice lady took me home with her and started my treatment. She kept me until my permanent foster returned to Houston. Since then, my hair has started to come in and people say I am beautiful. Still no mirror, tho. I am learning house manners and am doing very well. I walk on leash well. I sleep through the night in my crate in my foster family's bedroom (I like to be close). I get along with both men & women and dogs. I LOVE to cuddle and sleep in laps. And I love snoozing in a sunbeam. I will be well soon, ready for a mirror AND ready for a forever home!!! Other Pictures of Honeysuckle Weeks (click to see larger version):
