Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted. We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Helen is a traffic stopper with her gorgeous coloring, petite size (just over 9 lb), and striking eyes. She absolutely HAS to greet everyone we pass, and never yet has met a person she doesn't like. She seems to love children as well, although I haven't really tested this. She will follow anyone anywhere! Helen never walks when she can run, and loves to run. If you don't walk quickly enough for her, she runs from side to side at the full extent of her leash. She enjoys the fenced play area here and runs the perimeter around and around. However, her first life goal is to snuggle on your lap or curl up beside you. Her second is to kiss the skin right off you.
Helen is very smart- she learned that 'go to bed' means 'go get in your crate and you will get a treat' in a single try.
Helen's not much of a barker, except at cats, and seldom whines, although she 'squeaks' and 'chirps' instead. Very endearing. She sits like a meerkat when desperate for attention.
Crate trained, mostly potty trained and is pretty clear at telling you when she needs to go out, and when she says it she means right away. She would do well with a doggy door to allow her access when she needs to go out. She doesn't do well at holding it for a full day when I'm at work.
She's a love.
