Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted. We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

William is a very sweet gentleman who has lived his life in less than acceptable conditions. But that is all changing now!!!! He's getting all that necessary vetting that was left undone by a previous owner and working on getting his dachshund mojo back! He's a gorgeous black and tan longhaired fellow who is WAY passed that chewing, clumsy, hyper puppy phase. William is looking for a special forever home that will appreciate long naps, short walks and lots of quiet cuddling. He does have a cataract, but he's able to function just fine with that bit of limited sight in one eye. He's got a new smile, cleared ear infections, up-to-date vaccines and now all he needs is a forever place to lay his head. He's still timid and shy, but just the sweetest pup. He needs a kind soul to continue the gentle care he is enjoying in his foster home.
