Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Honey came to us from a family who no longer had time for her. Great news for us. This girl will bring nothing but joy to your home and ask very little in return. She is a very loving doxie who is full of life and full of energy. She loves to play - with dogs, with toys, with bones... it doesn't matter. Once she gets her energy out, she can nap like the best of them. Literally she will lay on your lap or let you craddle her in your arms while she drifts off into dream land. She sleeps fine in her crate at night and does well in a crate during the day. She is good on a leash during walks, and really likes exploring her surroundings. She should probably have a longer walk than some dogs due to her higher energy level. We think She would really enjoy a visit to a dog park where she could run around and socialize for as long as you'll let her. She doesn't really take care of "business" on walks so She would likely do best in a home with a yard to roam free in, maybe even a doggie door so she could have frequent access. She will also use potty pads if left out. She gets along great with other dogs and really enjoys playing with her foster siblings and doesn't even mind when they make it clear they are not to keen With her enthusiasm. we think she would really enjoy a multi dog household with other eager to play buddies. If you'd like to meet Honey in person, please submit an application on her and she could be yours.
