Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted. We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Riley is a very energetic dog who loves to play with her toys, protect her yard from those devious squirrels, and chase her foster brothers around the house. Riley is quite the dancing queen when it's dinner or snack time. Riley loves to snuggle while watching tv, but if she thinks you aren't paying enough attention to her watch out because here come the dog kisses! Riley does very well with children of all ages, but she is a jumper which can scare some children at first. Riley likes her foster brother cats and does not bother them unless she wants to play! Riley is not food aggressive and is learning to sit at dinnertime. Riley is crate trained and stays in her kennel during the day, but at bedtime she prefers to be in bed with you. She will snuggle up close or sleep at the foot of the bed; it doesn't matter to her so long as she can see you! Riley is cautious at first when she meets new people and sometimes will bark a little but once she realizes the new person is nice she warms up very quickly. Riley is very energetic and requires either a lot of exercise or access to an enclosed yard during the day. Otherwise, she reminds me of an 3 year old who has been cooped up inside the house for two days because of rain. Not in a destructive way, she just can't sit still and paces the house. She is a very sweet dog who just needs love and attention to become the best dog she can be!
