Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Tilly is an adorable, sweet standard size girl and she is approximately 3 years old. Tilly's absolute favorite thing is love. She adores sitting with her people and being petted and can do that all day, every day. She has the longest ears and they feel like velvet when you are petting her. She genuinely loves being around people and is equally fond of everyone who comes into the house, happily wagging her tail, and bowing her head for a pet. She likes to follow her foster mom as she goes about her daily chores and will happily lie down and wait when she is busy. If you come into the room and Tilly hasn't seen you in a couple of hours, she will get very excited and make sweet, little happy noises as she greets you. It is adorable. Tilly is a calm dog who walks well on a leash and sleeps in her crate. She is house trained and happily does her business outside. She hasn't had a lot of experience with toys and doesn't seem to care if she has a dog companion or not. She is very smart and is eagerly trying to learn the rules of her foster home. She would do great with an individual or with a family. Although she is a standard size dachshund, she would still make a great lap dog and her perfect forever home is one where she will spend lots of time cuddling.
