Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Bagheera  – we call him “Gerry” – is a gentle old soul who is a little hard of hearing but with a very happy disposition. Gerry is looking for his forever home where he can practice retirement.  He was left at a shelter before coming to DRoH, where he received some much needed dental work and heartworm treatment. He loves to sleep on his soft bed and to take short walks or to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine.  He gets along well with his foster brother and sister, as well as two cats.  Gerry’s a happy go lucky guy, loves to sit on your lap, or just be wherever he can keep a watchful eye on you.  He walks on the leash like a perfect little gentleman although he much prefers to walk slowly and check out all the smells.  He sleeps quietly through the night in a small pen with the other dogs.  If you are thinking about a sweet, older gentlemen  …..  then Gerry’s your guy!
