Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Baloo is a great dog, and gets along well with all my other dogs.  He is treat motivated, and learns very quickly.  He picked up "sit" in a day, and we are working on "gimmie a kiss" now.  He likes to be beside you, but not always in your lap.  He does love to be petted, and will ask you to pet him by putting his nose in your hand.  He figured out the doggie door in my house on day one, and has been good about going outside whenever he wants.   He is super sweet, crazy smart, and my dogs love him.  When the doorbell rings, he lets out a ferocious bark to let me know he knows someone is at the door, but when the door opens, he is all wiggles and happiness to meet whomever is on the other side.  He does get overwhelmed at the pet store though, and when I took him there, he was nervous of the automatic doors.  We are working on that.  Baloo is a great dog, and is going to make someone the perfect pet.  Is he the right pup for you?
