Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Am I not the cutest thing you could see?! I am the typical playful puppy who needs the standard puppy patience.  Give me guidance and structure and I will thrive.  My life started with a dark cloud: I was born in a shelter but was lucky enough to have a fabulous foster dad to assist me (and all my siblings) on the path to a grand life!

That cloud is still tickling me though, because I was born with a congenital defect know as mega-esophagus.  Mega-e means my esophagus is too wide in diameter and has diminished muscle tone.  Because "dad" found it early, I have thrived :)  When I eat, food is not moved down my esophagus on its own.  He keeps me vertical, in a begging position, and lets gravity do its thing.  Dinner takes about 15 minutes and I have to be patient {eye roll}.  When I am fully grown, I can use a Bailey Chair, which looks like a high chair.  Dogs like me live full and normal lives. I just have to go vertical with meals.

Please don't skip over me - it's mega-e, not a fatality!  My DRoH people will be happy to give you more information about me and mega-e.
