Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

I'm a sweet red girl :)

Gemma (pronounced Jemma) is a fan favorite with all who meet her.  Upon her initial greeting she may be a tad shy (if you can call it that) but she quickly warms up and freely gives kisses.  She's a very young dog, estimated at 1 year, so she has plenty of playful energy.  She loves people and other dogs and is quite curious over critters she hasn't experienced yet.  She's been wonderful about doing her business outside, but if she see's a pee pad then she'll use that too.  Gemma is still learning what it's like to play with toys but that is coming quickly as she realizes all the fun she's been missing.   Being a good listener, she'll do well with learning the ropes at any home.  She loves to follow her humans and when they leave she handles it fine, but the return is filled with plenty of excitement and joy!  This little girl will bring a smile and wet kisses to any face.  If you're looking for a smart, sweet and playful little girl then look no more.
