Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted. We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.
vetting complete
Doodle is a petite, delicate 8 lb white and cinnamon piebald long hair dachshund. She is nine years old and is negative for heartworms. She and her male companion lost their home through no fault of their own. Chip is being fostered separately. Doodle should definitely have at least one other doggy housemate and seems to prefer boy dogs or older females. She is shy and a bit skittish and does not like being picked up. Once her human is seated, she will snuggle up to their side and enjoys being petted. Doodle currently follows her foster Mom and/or one of the other dogs from room to room. She is mostly potty trained and sleeps in her crate at night with no issues. Doodle needs a calm and gentle owner and a consistent schedule to thrive.
