DeeDee is a sweet, petite senior dachshund! She has stolen the hearts of everybody in her foster family in a very short time. Her favorite past time is to lay next to you swaddled in a blanket on the couch. Of course, she really loves a nap. Belly rubs and neck scratches soothe her right to sleep. The other 2 senior dachshunds in her foster home don’t bother her a bit. To their surprise, she invited herself right into the big dog bed for a nap with them. She even used the tweenie’s rump as a pillow. DeeDee sleeps and naps in a crate with no problem. At times I think she doesn’t hear well, until I open the food bin. She scampers to the kitchen with a little wiggle waggle in her back end. The only time she uses her voice as if she is crated alone and she can hear her foster family in the other room. She uses gentle barks intermittently to remind you she’s missing family time. Due to some of her special needs, she doesn’t take walks. Dee Dee is a very low-keyed, senior lady who just wants to nap, eat and be swaddled in TLC.
