Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted. We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Cameron Cinema was found by a good Samaritan being nursed by his Mom under a building following Imelda. He came into DROH a bit underdeveloped and behind for his age (two weeks). He has flourished under the attentive care of his mother and the vets at Jersey Village. Being exposed to the elements at that tender age he has battled some challenges, but now he has caught up. Cameron is the bigger of the two puppies and is a bit on the mellow side. Cameron likes to hang out with his Mom and foster dad more than wrestle with his brother. When they do play, he his usually the one who takes abuse from his biting brother. They cuddle and love when tired, so all is forgiven. He is getting better at eating dog food and uses the pad most of the time to do his business. No one is sure what his physical makeup will be once he matures, but his mother was a full size wire-haired dachshund…Mom isn’t divulging the father’s background! He does have an unusual piebald coloring that reminds of a Jack Russell. Be prepared to spend lots of time training this puppy. He will be you treasure for years to come!
