Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted. We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

“A woman can be tough” -and our girl Janis Joplin has had to be. You’d never be able to tell tho because other than being a little nervous and skittish at first when meeting new people, she is a great friendly pup that’s ready to be part of the fam! She’s potty trained completely, no work there! She doesn’t mind being crated but needs to be put in sort of she doesn’t go all the way in on her own. She doesn’t make much noise other than sort of talking/whining a little when she needs a pet. She rarely barks. She is cute as can be with a very beautiful animated face, her lighter colored eyebrows show a lot of her curiosity and character. She is very gentle tempered and sweet. She loves being nearby and bonds to someone quickly and will claim that person as her own. She is a snuggler but also likes to be where she can see everything.
Janis is a bigger girl about 20 lbs right now and could maybe put on a little weight. She’s got long soft shiny hair but doesn’t shed really at all.
