Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

When I first arrived at my new temporary home, I was nervous and growled at my foster mom's very gentle and sweet dog (who kind of looks like me!) and I preferred to stay in the crate.​ A few days later, I consider her my new best friend and I want to play with her.​ I am a bit skittish when I see some big dogs while we're out on walks.​ However, we went to an outdoor dog event, and I was OK.​ Maybe it was because I was with my new friend and she was OK with all the dogs around us.​ I was also a bit shy and nervous with my foster parent.​ But now I want to sit on her lap and have my tummy rubbed.​ When she's busy, I take a nap.​ It takes me a little while to get comfortable with new people and dogs.​ But once I know I can trust them, my tail can't stop wagging when I see them. I can't wait to make you my next best friend/mom/dad.​
