Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Meet Claire! Her foster mom calls her Claire Bear because she is so sweet and loveable. She is a little 6-year-old girl and she's looking for a forever home. She loves to cuddle, being picked up, and pets. She is the sweetest pup and is very low key and calm. Her favorite thing is to snuggle up to her foster mom on the couch with a fuzzy blanket. She would really love it if her furever home has an amazing and loving person that wants to laze around with her and doesn’t have to leave her in a kennel all day to go to work. Right now, Claire is able to go potty on the pad but her foster mom is teaching her to go outside and she is doing a very good job. Claire is kennel trained but doesn’t like to be in her kennel for long periods of time. She would prefer to sleep in bed with her owner since she loves to cuddle.

**Claire has a condition that tightens the sphincter so strongly that urine does not completely empty.  It's related to her IVDD.   She has been given Prazosin, a drug to relax her urethra and help her urinate more easily/completely and it seems to be helping. She will likely need this for the rest of her life.  Claire, while able to walk, has a limp.
