Foster mom update -
Last Saturday, I picked a "shy" Wilson up. We were now going to foster our 5th dog. Always a little scared to get the next dog, I go in with a little prayer he will get along with our three at home. Little did I know that Sherlock, the first dog my husband I owned, would need to be put to asleep the following day. It was by far the hardest day for our family. Wilson, however, was not phased. He didn't know Sherlock, he just wanted to play. He has tried to get our other two dogs to join in at every chance. Sherlock's brother, Mycroft, has even played a little and he too is 13. Midge, our foster failure, is getting in on the action with Wilson. She may not be 2 like he is, she still likes to run around. Wilson wants to play and give kisses. He loves tug-o-war and his new bones. He doesn't quite understand nap time, but he will learn. He loves to look at himself in my full length mirror. He will go towards it, back up and then go towards it again. He looks around to see who is behind it and even hits it with his paw to figure out who is looking at him.
Though Wilson is not Sherlock, he has eased our pain and brought a smile to our faces. I hope if you are reading this you will think of him for your home. He is great with other dogs, he loves to play, loves to kiss, and is great with my two sons. He is ball of energy and fun and will brighten your life the moment he enters it.
Love,
Wilson's foster mom
My name is Wilson Poppins. Yesterday I went to my first home. I don't care it's a foster home, all I know is these people are fun. They have a nice backyard to explore. They have two children who constantly want to hug me. They have lots of toys. I don't really get the toy part yet, but it am learning. They also have 3 other dogs. They are older and are not too sure of me yet....I will win them over! I really like to play. I am 2 and got a puppy attitude, but actually do well with house training. My foster family is impressed. I gotta help them out with 4 dogs to keep track of.
If you are ready for a fun, playful dog with lots of energy then I am your guy. Also, I am beautiful. I have a soft shiny coat with beautiful amber eyes. I will melt your heart.
