Henry is an affectionate big boy who loves greeting his human with hugs. He has big, soulful puppy dog eyes and the sweetest chocolate and peanut butter face. Henry's coat is smooth and soft all over and he loves to be rubbed and pet all over. Henry has a lot of energy and loves to run, jump, and play with stuffed animals and balls. He gets along very well with other small dogs. He behaves pretty well when left all alone in his crate, and as soon as his person gets home he lets you know he is ready to get out. Henry is working very hard on his potty training; he does try to go on pee pads but needs help with his aim. Even though he's a boy, he prefers to squat rather than lift his leg. He has not shown any bad boy habits like marking or trying to mount other dogs. Henry will make a good watch dog because he is very alert and attentive. He does need some work on socializing and meeting new people; he is very cautious around anyone who isn't his primary person. Anyone who gives him treats will be his new best friend with a little patience. Henry is a very gentle boy when playing and taking treats and has good "table manners." He likes to cuddle with his person as much as he likes to curl up by himself. Henry makes his person feel so special once you've earned his trust, and is looking for someone to make him feel special, too.
