Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Amelia is a sweet old soul (although she is only about 5), who has made great strides after joining DRoH. She has completed her treatment for mange and has had some other medical issues attended to. Every day she becomes more energetic and has displayed quite an inquisitive personality.

Despite the lack of care earlier in her life, Amelia has excellent teeth because she loves to chew rawhide. Her coat is an interesting mottled brown and black and she has one eye that is half blue…it is fine. She barks to inform you of her need to go outside, come back in, have dinner, and be given a chewie.

Amelia has a sweet disposition and gets along well with other dogs. She has learned to walk with a slack leash (unless squirrels are present) and sometimes goes in her crate voluntarily at the end of the day.
