Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Olivia entered our lives last Saturday. She came into a house with two other dachshunds, a young male and older female. Though the two dogs are not so sure of her always, she has jumped right in with them. She will actually join our male in his crate to hang out. She will leave me (her foster mom) to sit with my 11 and 13 year old boys. She even prefers to snuggle up with my husband over me. She is amazingly sweet. I think Olivia would be great with any age children. She is not overly active, but due to a few pounds when she came in she should get some exercise. She prefers, as we have seen in the three days with her, to lay on the couch and snuggle. If you are prepared to snuggle endlessly with a ball of warm love she is the dog for you!
