Bonnie aka Diana Prince

It is with a very heavy and broken heart that I tell you my sweet Bonnie (formerly Diana Prince) passed away last night. Her heart murmur became too much for her little body.
Throughout the almost seven years of her living with me after adopting her, she lived the best life. She was a wonderful snuggle bug, on her own terms, but was quite the blanket thief and loved to build herself blanket forts. She was quite sassy, and I loved to encourage it. She always had her nightly treat and would let me know when it was past time for it. During the pandemic, it became a daily routine for me to sit on my balcony and work. The only way I could get Bonnie to join me and not bother me was to bring out her own bed to lay on.
This became one of her favorite pastimes through the last years. Everyafternoon when I got home, she would go to the door and let me know if was time for her to look over her kingdom.
I adopted her right when I needed her most, and while I know she is no longer struggling to breathe, life
will never be the same without her.
RIP sweet Bonnie

Bobo the Elf

Dear friends at Dachshund Rescue of Houston,

In January of 2014, you  allowed us to adopt Bobo the Elf, a gorgeous black and tan longhaired
Dachshund who had been pulled from a shelter and whom Diane  had lovingly fostered. This morning he crossed the rainbow  bridge.  He was simply the smartest, sweetest dog ever known to man and we  will always be grateful to you for letting him become part of our family.

We loved him dearly, Michael and Ruth

Patches Topaz

I adopted Patches Topaz (Patches Marie to me) on 12/23/2021. She was
the best Christmas present my friend could have given me. She passed in my arms on 7/4/23. She had cancer. My heart is broken, but know that she was loved and spoiled. She is greatly missed and will forever be with me.
I hope to be able to adopt another one someday, and you all will be the
first ones I'll look to. You all were so wonderful in the adoption process.
Thank you all again for everything
