Our sweet "Harry" crossed the rainbow bridge after 12 years with us.  We adopted "Prince Harry" from DROH on 12/23/2012.  He was such a gift to our lives and will be missed everyday.   RIP sweet boy.

Today marks the end of an era. My best buddy, Oscar Fritz crossed the rainbow bridge. He lived a great life of 16 years and I'm trying to remember the happy times with him although I'm so very heartbroken to let him go. Oscar was there for me through so much; college, breakups, pregnancy, apt living..
He imprinted on my niece and was her greatest protector. Oscar was such a big part of our lives and the reason for meeting so many wonderful people. If not for him, we never would have become involved with Dachshund Rescue of Houston. We never would have had rescue pups and fosters nor cultivated so many wonderful friendships through the years. Sweet Miss Ruby's body was too starved to survive.  Her last days were full of kindness and care, but we couldn't pull her through.  RIP sweet pup.                Rescued 3/19/25  Rainbow Bridge 3/28/25

Jessica Cruz woke up yesterday and told me that today was the day. I had to help my girl cross over. She had bladder cancer. She was a real trooper, never complaining and on patrol to the end. Beloved by everyone who met her, she will be truly missed.
